Even though we're already a month into the year, it's not too late to look at what's ahead for Land Rover, and as a whole for JLR, in 2024.

After years of discussion and a few delays, the Ineos Grenadier is finally hitting American roads, with sightings racking up more and more in the past few weeks.

If you haven't been Keeping Up with the Kardashians (you're excused), you may have missed that Kim's 2023 Range Rover has made all the top gossip news lately -- and not because she's done anything in it lately, but because it's for sale in Florida for $100,000 in a very much wrecked state.

The Dakar Rally is on the move this year, its fifth year based in Saudi Arabia. It’s also the fifth year of the new Dakar Classic class, where vintage vehicles harken back to rally trucks of the 1980s and 1990s. This year, five Land Rovers are running in the Classic class, from race-prepped vehicles to a Camel Trophy-veteran Discovery.

For those of us in the colder regions of North America (and Atlantic British’s headquarters in Upstate New York is certainly smack dab in there), the coming of winter means only one thing: the sheer terror that is the salt truck. A Land Rover works best when it's maintained on schedule so that all of the heavily-engineered off-road systems work correctly. One thing that's easy to overlook is the health of your spare tire, and on more recent Land Rover models, your spare tire winch mechanism. With the new year here, it's a good time to do a checkup on these items and maintain them. 

In 2003, the brand-new L322 Range Rover was a total gamechanger and a top-tier status symbol. That year, rapper Cam'ron bought a Range Rover and had it entirely re-trimmed inside and out in pink. Twenty years later, it's resurfaced... and traded hands... on Facebook Marketplace.

The first-ever all-electric Land Rover has been announced -- the Range Rover Electric, an EV version of the flagship Range Rover. The vehicle has a few interesting characteristics, both in the scope of the Land Rover lineup and the EV market as a whole.

Land Rover took their first trip to the Miami Art Week, an annual December celebration of everything artistic in Florida. Built around the prestigious Art Basel event, the event is a social and artistic extravaganza, and this year a special Range Rover Sport, the SV EDITION ONE MIAMI, was part of the celebrations.

JLR has teamed with Tata Communications, their partners under the Tata Sons umbrella, to define their corporate-wide IT infrastructure. All of JLR's 128 global sites will be linked together, with a new and more robust digital system that should reduce supply chain issues and increase build quality.

If you find yourself on the British coast, you’ll eventually come across a lifeboat station -- a charitable organization providing coastal rescue services. One of the most beloved icons of British culture, the lifeboat stations have also been nostalgically tied to their Defenders and Series vehicles for decades. Used as launch vehicles and search and rescue trucks, they’re a piece of the British seascape. But almost eight years after the last classic Defender rolled off the line, the march of time means other vehicles are taking their place – and on the coast of southwest Scotland, that vehicle is an Ineos Grenadier.

Land Rover announced the winners of the third annual Defender Service Awards, the yearly giveaway of Defenders to worthy non-profit causes who can use the vehicles to advance their good work across the United States and Canada. This year, six Defender 130s found new homes, and for the first time the contest winners were evenly split between American and Canadian winners.

On the back of years of theft issues in Britain with new Land Rover models, JLR has introduced a suite of security updates in that market. The updates, built into vehicles since 2022 and retrofittable to vehicles from 2018-2022, have made a marked impact on how many Land Rovers are stolen in Britain.

In the United Kingdom, classic Defenders continue to be targets for rural theft, with organized crime rings working to steal the vehicles both for export and parts.
