Surely you've heard about Twitter, the "what are you doing right now?" texting, er, service that keeps us all up to the minute on each others' business. Celebrities twitter. Teens twitter. And now, apparently, Land Rover is twittering.
In a move that is perhaps a bit unseemly by traditional British standards, Land Rover is paying 4,500 popular Tweeters to post positive comments about its new models in the run up to the New York Auto Show.
And not only are they on the Tweet, they're on the street, including their hashtags and best comments in their billboard, bus and taxi advertising, so now everybody can follow Twitter comments on Rover's new models.
If you want to get in on the action, just enter the hashtag #LRNY to comment about the new vehicles, post links, news, photos and so on.
That is, unless you find this sort of thing gauche.
