SVO Builds Meals on Wheels Discovery For Celeb Chef

We definitely want to invite UK celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver, to come to the next Land Rover event we attend. Jamie, a life-long Land Rover fan, challenged Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations Division (SVO), to produce the most outrageous kitchen on wheels imaginable. The results are actually quite impressive. From a toaster in the center console to a rotisserie and pasta maker mounted in the oval badge on the front grill, everything appears as though it left the factory that way. Because, well, it did.
In a series of YouTube videos, Jamie is shown planning the mods to the new Discovery with the help of two young engineers (or, actors pretending to be engineers) who don't quite know what to make of Oliver at first. Once they get the hang of it though, they even begin to weigh in with their own suggestions.
Once the car is built, Jamie demonstrates making some pretty incredible looking meals. The herb garden growing in the off-side rear quarter window even provides sufficient basil to make a nice pesto sauce for the homemade pasta. Sautéed mushrooms on the pullout cooktop in the back and rotisserie chicken cooked up front, along with some crock-pot beans form the slow-cooker in the engine bay, round out some of his other creations.
I got hungry watching so I didn't get through all of the material. Suffice it to say, I learned a little bit about cooking, and Land Rover has demonstrated that there is very little they can't or won't do to keep a well-heeled customer happy.
