As of February 14th, Range Rover is the newly-declared Official Vehicle of Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. The three-year deal kicked off with the launch of a special Range Rover Sport Deer Valley Edition, and the latest implementation of the Range Rover House luxury lodge.
Deer Valley is an upscale resort in the Wasatch Range in Utah, just 36 miles east of Salt Lake City. Opened in 1981, it's known for being one of the more high-end ski resorts in Utah, and for being one of only three resorts in the United States that are ski-only, with no snowboarding.
Range Rover House is the luxurious pop-up owners’ retreat that Land Rover has been placing at various high-end events and locations. The first Range Rover House was at Monterey Car Week in Carmel, California last August. Another was set up at the foot of Mont Blanc in Courmayeur, Italy, at the start of the 2022-23 ski season and during the New Year holiday period.
Range Rover House at Park City is open from February 14th to 26th, during the popular Presidents’ Day ski time. Invited guests will have access to a daily hospitality offering, curated events, Après-ski gatherings each afternoon, and other alpine luxury-themed events. Also, like at Range Rover House Carmel, a special edition vehicle will be available for sale only to House guests – a new Range Rover Sport Deer Valley Edition.
The Deer Valley Edition is an ultra-exclusive version of the new Range Rover Sport, with only twenty examples slated for production. Finished in a Deep Gloss Vermillion Red wrap, and fitted with the P530 V8 powertrain setup, it brings in elements of the Range Rover SV program.
In addition to all the usual top-tier luxury specification features, it comes with a second set of wheels and tires for winter use, custom sill plates, an Alpine Ski Roof Box and roof rails, two customized sets of Hinterland skis with a fitting session, a three-day stay at Deer Valley, and two Ikon passes with access to over fifty ski resorts worldwide. The cupholder cover comes engraved with the signatures of Lindsey Vonn and Ted Ligety. Land Rover will also donate $5,000 per vehicle to Youth Sports Alliance (YSA), an organization that helps to increase the number of children participating in sports in the greater Park City area, with a focus on breaking down barriers to ensure equity among all kids.
The Deer Valley Edition is priced at $165,000. While that's significantly pricier than a fully loaded Range Rover Sport, the extras package is an extremely lucrative set of experiences.
At the Range Rover House, Land Rover Ambassadors and world champion skiers Lindsey Vonn and Ted Ligety were in attendance, as well as Maddie Mastro, Professional 2 Snowboarder and Maggie Voisin, Professional Freestyle Skier, who hosted an event for more adventurous attendees.
After Range Rover House ends, the benefits for Range Rover owners will continue for the next three years at Deer Valley. Range Rover owners will have preferred parking access, with complimentary in-town transportation for guests provided by Range Rovers.
