Land Rover will be unveiling a new, more powerful and fuel efficient V8 gasoline engine sometime in the next few months.
Land Rover is making good on its promise to become "greener" in part with the introduction of a new V8, to be offered in both normally-aspirated and turbocharged versions. The boys at Solihull claim it will offer more power with greater fuel efficiency.
The engine will have a displacement of 5.0-liters and will be available in two versions; an entry level normally aspirated unit with an output of 350bhp and a turbocharged engine with an output of 460bhp.
The new engine will feature a direct-injection system and will also be offered on Jaguar models. We'll be sure to pass along more information as more details come to light regarding availability, specs, etc.
