Land Rover Video Picks of the Week

I’m sure most of the Land Rovering community has seen this one, but for those for you who have just emerged from under your boulders, here is a nice stunt video of a new Land Rover Discovery pulling a 110-ton Australian outback “road train.” These things strike fear into those who encounter them on the road, just due to their sheer size. The one in the video consists of a tractor and seven large cargo cars. No problem for the new Discovery's powerful engine, sophisticated traction control system, ride leveling, and overall stout construction.

Here’s our second vid. This one is a short and entertaining clip of the first “Reborn” Series One getting put through its paces off-road at Land Rover’s Eastnor Castle property, where many of the original Series Ones were put through their own paces after they left the factory.

This is an interesting one as well. I couldn’t get any sound to play on it, but there is a some great footage of many of the different era’s of Land Rover’s history, including everything from the earliest Series One center steer (in photos only) to the original, and ill-fated, Freelander.
