Product Details

Terrafirma steering dampers are made with a tough twin tube design that allows for a large volume of oil for cooler internals and improved protection of working parts, low-pressure nitrogen foam cell for increased performance and 50/50 valving for equal damping lock to lock. Featuring a 36mm piston, 54mm outer tube and 16mm shaft diameter, these dampers are available with high quality deep silver powder coated finish for long lasting looks. This steering damper fits the Discovery I and Range Rover Classic.

My original damper had worn out bushings so I decided to just replace the whole damper. If I knew how much better it would be I would have done it a long time ago. no more vibration in the wheel and no jerking when I hit potholes.

Trivial to install - fit nicely in the spot the original came from. However, the supplied unit was not as pictured here. The solid boot over the piston rod was large, and made fitting a bit difficult. Not a nightmare, but just an item to be aware of.
