If your Rover is anything like mine, oftentimes the 'proper' hardware isn;t there, or is more battered than it needs to me. This is where a kit like this comes in - it lets you deal with the valve cover gasket and at the same time replace the buffer rubbers and the missing/corroded acorn nuts. This is not what I keep in stock for my cars - the regualr gasket alone is fine for that. But if you have a car that hasn't had buffers in a long while or the acorn nuts are beaten up or missing, this is a good value.
