Using part # LR173841, Doug takes you through the process of installing the new switch into the existing latching assembly.
The switch itself is no longer in stock, so we advise you replace the entire hood latch assembly that includes the new switch already installed.
See this video to install entire hood latch assembly which includes a new alarm switch.
Optionally, if you find it necessary that the entire latching assembly be replaced--due to corrosion of the moving pieces in the assembly--see part # LR173841G, which is Land Rover's design that includes the entire latching fixture with the alarm switch.

Using part # LR173841 or # LR173841G, which is Land Rover's design that includes the entire latching fixture with the alarm switch.
That part number has been superseded from LR065340G.
This parts replacement is also valid on the Range Rover Sport 2006 - 2009.
Please refer to video addressing LR041431OEM if installing just the alarm switch component (part # LR041431OEM) into existing latch assembly.

The switch itself is no longer in stock, so we advise you replace the entire hood latch assembly that includes the new switch already installed.
