Land Rover Discovery 2 owners searching for a durable bumper have come to the right place! This heavy-duty bumper is manufactured by UK Rover specialists Britpart and designed specifically for your Discovery 2 (1999 - 2004) model vehicle. This bumper is manufactured from 4mm steel, finished in black, and includes incorporated steel end caps, two (2) recovery points, and two (2) hi-lift jacking points. It is fixed to your rover's standard mounting points for added strength, but also includes fixings in the center where your tow bar mounts.
If you use your Discovery 2 heavily off-road or if you're looking for the protection a heavy duty steel bumper can offer in daily driving, this is the bumper for you. Outfitting a Discovery Series II for Off-Road, Part Two

Excellent upgrade to plastic stock piece. Fit is great, but you should plan for a pal to help wriggle it in place during installation. Do not forget to loosen all the hitch receiver bolts beforehand or it will not work.

I purchased the steel bumper to replace the brittle original plastic one. The removal of the old bumper required extracting 2 bolts (a little Liquid Wrench and they came right out). With help the new bumper lifted into place and the bolts were easy to reinstall. The addition of the 2 M14-2 x 80 bolts in the center of the bumper aligned and bolted into place easily. I would have installed the bumper earlier if I had known new bolts were included. I did not see them until I finally lifted the bumper out of the box. Thanx for the installation video.
