I delayed doing this conversion when I bought my 2006 LR LR3. I thought I could keep the air suspension and just fix it piece by piece when things went wrong. Well...I ended up replacing virtually the entire system in a year, including the air shocks themselves (Arnott). I urge you to replace your air shocks when you experience the very first error message. If you try to just fix things as they come up you will experience "air suspension anxiety syndrome" or ASAS for short. On every offroad or remote adventure you will always be wondering....when will my suspension fail? The new coil over shocks with 2" lift and the EMU springs are fantastic! The ride is great. Install is a breeze.

I regret not switching to these coils on my 2005 LR3 when my original airs needed replacing; instead I put another set of airs on which didn't last too long. These coils gave my LR3 new life and a tight suspension which I enjoy. AB provides everything you need-- I installed as instructed and for me-- no warning lights or beeps whatsoever so that's a BONUS! Also, what worked for me during installation- I detached one end of the sway bar link which allowed easier attachment of the suspension bolt to the coil. This is a superior product/kit. Love it.

The kit comes with really good instructions, also watch the YouTube video from Atlantic British and you won't miss anything. Maybe do one end of the vehicle at a time, I did one side at a time and fought the anti away bars for a while. I didn't do any before or after measuring of vehicle height but I would say it is a 2" lift. No faults on the vehicle, the only noticeable thing is the 4 x4 info screen shows the wheel height in an error state. Ride is firm, takes the bumps nice. Overall I'm really happy with the change, better ride and better look.

I chose the HD springs over standard because I feared a wallowy, overtaxed ride - memories of bouncing around in my dad's old Jeep Grand Cherokee are burned in my brain. These springs are surprisingly close to the air ride, just a little firmer with less body roll while cornering. Eliminating the drone of the air compressor is a nice bonus. On the installation: These units are big and heavy, so be ready for a real upper-body workout. A crowbar and a 24" pipe wrench were needed to entice one of the front struts into position, but other than that there were no surprises. Between the printed instructions in the box and AB's online videos, I felt like I knew what was going on at every step.

I already had the standard conversion kit for a few years on my LR3, and I wish I had just gone straight to this one from the beginning. The extra height makes forest roads easy, and for me, it will be a backcountry hunting rig. This is an enormous upgrade for your Disco. It took about 6 hours in total (by myself) over the course of a few days with no specialized equipment. The hardest part for me was getting the bottom bolts aligned, and I had to use jacks in various directions and excessive swearing to get them to go. Now it's a proper truck, with a lot more clearance and a better view. For those curious: I am now running 275/65/18 K02s, and I have no rubbing in any direction.
