My '96 Disco 1 V8 had a heavy leak of ATF coming from the input shaft of the steering box, and this kit was the perfect solution to replace the aged and hardened seal. I had to remove the steering box completely per the shop manual instructions, but replacing the aged seal was relatively easy once the box was out of the vehicle. I ultimately only needed three of the parts from this kit (dust cover, smaller snap ring, and outer seal) to fix my leak, but this kit also includes other pieces as well, which possibly are for a full overhaul inside the box or a variant steering box on different model years. If you've verified that your leak is from the input shaft, this kit should do the trick.
