The plug that I received is even better than the one shown in the description . It has a guide cut into the cap to position the o-ring properly and a slot cut on top of the cap so it can be removed using a screwdriver or large coin, no wrench required if none is available.

The stock plastic screw-on radiator cap cracked due to age and began to leak in my '96 Discovery 1 V8. Ordered this replacement brass plug, and it fits perfectly. After decent testing, no apparent leaks or issues have arisen.

I would strongly recommend upgrading the radiator plug to a brass plug, in my experience the standard plastic plug deteriorates with age and thermal cycling to the point where it can be very problematic to remove. Mine disintegrated and a larger chuck fell into the radiator and resulted in needing to drain the radiator and finding the chuck just upstream of the thermostat! Thank goodness I was home having returned from the trails!

This is not the correct plug for land rover cooling systems. Rover radiator plugs and high fill tower plugs require an oring seal. The correct caps need to have a machined or molded grove for the oring. This cap has a flat sealing surface so the oring just squeezes out as the plug is tightened. Nice plug but not for rovers.
