First, hats off to Rover Parts and British Pacific. They have a video installation guide that just reassures you are doing the right thing. I support them and will continue to buy parts from them. Now, this repair kit specifically includes components manufactured by Stinger Electronics. They specialize in a lot of aftermarket audio retrofits and Rover Parts saw the perfect application for Stinger parts in my 2003 Land Rover Discovery. The red and black bands on the 5/16 rings were the giveaway. The part number for the rings is SPT520, Negative - SPT5103, Positive - SPT5303. Make sure you don't buy a fake. These parts are available to authorized sellers like Rover Parts.

I have an 02 Disco II that had been parked for a couple of years. Finally got it up and running and drove it back to DC. Got in the truck and it wouldn’t start. I noticed the positive cable looked pretty green. Went on YouTube and saw a video and immediately ordered. Literally the easiest fix I’ve done on the truck. Bought this since my 2004 Disco 2 was dead. Problem was insufficient current to the starter since the existing terminal was corroded. It did the trick and now truck is back on the road. But I had a couple of problems. the set screws for the cable connections had to be up, not down for the flat side of the connectors to mate with the terminal connector. Then, the screws came with washers but with the washers on, there was barely any thread available to screw into the connector. I tossed the washers and all was good but the screws should have been longer. Overall I'm happy and the part is well made and did the trick!
