This Land Rover drive shaft conversion kit makes drive shaft replacement quick and easy.
Land Rover Discovery I, 1994 – 1999 and Discovery Series II, 1999 – 2002 models feature angled drive shafts that use a rubber flex coupling, which wears down and causes annoying vibrations in your drive train. Our drive shaft conversion kit eliminates the need for a rubber flex coupling by providing a new drive shaft with a standard U-joint, as well as the flange, bolts, seal, spacer and dust shield – everything you need for the job in one convenient cost-saving package!
Also fits 1995 Range Rover Classic vehicles with short wheel base.

Boy, removing the old bits was quite the job—but everything included in this kit was exactly what was needed and went together without issue. And most importantly, it drives like a new truck—it was previously undriveable on the freeway.

Relatively easy to install. May want to purchase the custom 9/16th tool along with this kit to reach hard to access nuts on the brake drum side. Instruction sheet is sparse, leaving YouTube to fill in the holes. If there's something to be improved with the kit, maybe add a version that includes the custom 9/16th tool and expand on the instructions a bit. Doesn't need to be hand holding.

I recently installed the OME heavy duty springs and was going through rubber flex couplings very quickly. Not to mention the vibrations coming from the rear driveshaft were alarming. Easy to install with standard tools. You will need a slide hammer. On that note, I had to heat up the flange with an oxy/acetylene torch to remove the centering pin to gain access to the pinion nut. That was a real pain to get out, other than that, very straightforward swap. The difference after installation was amazing! No more vibrations at all, and i can offroad now in comfort knowing that I won't lose the driveshaft from the rubber flex coupling failing.

Superior to the OEM driveshaft. Also the kit has everything you will need for the job. For the install YouTube is a great help. As an FYI I had to use a MAPP gas torch, threaded bolt with washers over a socket and angle grinder to get the pressed in post off of the differential. You make a cut between the flanges deep enough to break the seal. Then use the MAPP torch to heat up the post and melt the red thread locker. Then use the bolt through a socket and a slide hammer to pull out the press fit post.

Easy bolt on installation, and no more vibration or shredded fixing rings on my lifted disco. Great upgrade.
