The perfect fasteners for Land Rover aluminum block engines!
These Pro Series ARP Studs prevent the common problem of block thread stripping that traditional studs can cause when being removed from the block.

ARP fasteners are centerless ground, heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining and designed to exceed the OEM fasteners in strength and durability. This Pro Series Engine Head Stud Kit features cold-forged manufacturing to ensure molecular integrity. These studs are heat-treated prior to thread rolling and machining and are rated at an impressive 190,000 PSI ! This kit come complete with hardened parallel washers for an even load distribution and accurate torque readings.
NOTE: This kit is specifically designed to be used on Land Rover 3.5L, 3.9L and 4.2L engines with Metal Head Gaskets. It should not be used with composite gaskets.

In this video we're going to touch base on an option you have if you're rebuilding your engine or doing head gaskets on a 4.0 / 4.6 Land Rover Engine.
And that is, essentially, a replacement set of studs instead of head bolts.
Now you know a lot of the newer engines have the torque to yield head bolts, which you see a lot now on aluminum head engines.
You're dealing with a high expansion and contraction rate which is why you need that style.
But you find it if you look if you see a racing engine torn down a lot of them will have studs.
The studs are a little bit more secure.
They cost a little bit more but they definitely do a better job.
