Need to replace a valve cover gasket?
This gasket will work, but there are two identical gaskets likely needs replacing

What's happened is the gasket has become heated and compressed.
Basically taking the sealing properties away from the valve cover and the bolts, on your GEMS engine Discovery 1, Defender 90, Classic, and '96 to early '99 P38 Range Rover.
This is why they leak.
And over a period of time you will do these on a regular basis on these just by design every 3 or 4 years.
