The Range Rover Sport has been named best value in this year’s Automotive Lease Guide’s Residual Value Awards, making this the 5th consecutive year the Range Rover Sport has earned this honor.
ALG’s Residual Value Awards are presented to vehicles projected to maintain the greatest percentage of their MSRP value over a three-year period (the length of an average lease). Winners are chosen based on their performance against a carefully crafted set of criteria which includes: segment competition, historical vehicle performance and industry trends. The Range Rover Sport likely scored well in the historical vehicle performance category, as it had been named champion in each of the four years prior.
Range Rover’s victory came in the Best Luxury Midsize Utility category, with the current base-model Range Rover HSE retailing at $60,495. This 5th consecutive award bodes well for the Range Rover Sport model, as well as the larger Land Rover lineup as a whole. “High residual values are a key indicator of a brand’s health and contribute to driving increased profitability,” noted Raj Sundaram, Senior Vice President, Solutions Group and ALG.
