The second generation Range Rover represented a huge leap in style, comfort and power over the Range Rover Classic. Power grew from a 3.5 liter V-8 to the 4.0 and available 4.6 liter engine, a larger body and major ergonomic improvements enhanced driver and passenger comfort. And Land Rover sold them as fast as they could manufacture them.Despite these grand improvements, Atlantic British customers still demanded more.
