4. From the back seat, maneuver the CD player into position over the 4
mounting studs. (See photo #7)

5. Secure the unit in place with the 4 nuts you took off in step #3.

6. Plug the 2 connectors on the short cable
(supplied with the interface box) into the input side of the interface
box. Plug the other end of this cable into the 10 pin cable that is
under the seat. Plug the Uni-Link cable and the RCA cable that are
supplied with the CD changer into the output side of the interface
box. (See photos #10, #11 and #12)

7. Remove the protective paper from the adhesive backed foam
mounting tape on the back of the interface box. (See photo #13)

8. Mount the interface box to the back of the CD changer. (See photo
#14)

9. Plug the Uni-Link cable and the RCA cable into the appropriate
connectors on the right side of the CD changer. Neatly secure the
cable bundles with cable ties and position between the right end of
the CD changer and the passenger seat mounting bracket.
10. Test that the unit works as
expected, and replace the lower seat surround.
Options:
The CDX-757MX is supplied with plastic mounting brackets and extra
long data and audio cables. You can use these if you choose to mount
the unit in a remote location in the back of the vehicle.
If your Discovery II does not have a datalink cable under the
passenger seat, one is abailable from Atlantic British Ltd. The part
number is LRN50530G.
