Diagnose A Bad Sway Bar Bushing Or Sway Bar Link On Range Rovers And LR3
Atlantic British Ltd. Repair & Maintenance Academy How-To Video: A common problem on 2006-2009 Range Rover Sport (Supercharged and non-Supercharged) and some of the LR3s, you may hear a light rattle in the front end as you ride straight over small bumps in the road at lower speed. Using a 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged with Directional Stability Control to demonstrate, watch Doug, our Land Rover Master Technician, diagnose the cause of the rattling noise in front end as possibly being one of two causes, worn rubber bushings in the sway bar ( https://www.roverparts.com/Parts/RVU500011 ), or old sway bar link ( https://www.roverparts.com/Parts/RBM500200OEM ). Please refer any questions or comments to 1-800-533-2210 or contact us via the question tab.
We ordered these for our 2009 Sport. They came in short order and best of all solved my clanking noise. Great to do business with 5 stars

Performed in driveway. Observations: Penetrating oil nite be4. Remove lower SB Linkage bolts for extra maneuverability. Remove trans heat shield (4, 8mm bolts) for easier access to rear bracket bolt on pass side. (The L320 R12 has three-bolt brackets W/ roll stab.) Shouldn’t need to bend hydraulic feed hoses on pass side to remove bracket. Be patient, maneuver/finesse it out. Here’s the BIG ONE. Not necessary to remove rear bracket bolt on drvrs side. It’s a bear. Remove Fr two bolts in bracket, then drop the short subframe section from under it , (3 bolts rear, one horizontal bolt in front). Twist bushing out, install with a dash of silicone. Re-torque, enjoy beverage...or two
