Video: Replacing The Hood Latch (With Electronic Alarm Assembly) On Land Rover Vehicles

Is your car alarm mysteriously going off in the middle of the night?

Watch Doug, our Land Rover Master Technician, as he replaces the likely culprit, the faulty alarm switch in the hood latch assembly of your 2005 - 2009 Land Rover LR3.

Using part # LR173841 or # LR173841G, which is Land Rover's design that includes the entire latching fixture with the alarm switch.

That part number has been superseded from LR065340G.

This parts replacement is also valid on the Range Rover Sport 2006 - 2009.

Please refer to video addressing LR041431OEM if installing just the alarm switch component (part # LR041431OEM) into existing latch assembly.

The item LR041431OEM Hood Alarm Switch / Sensor LR041431 Or LR065340, Original Equipment, For Land Rover LR3, LR4, LR2, Range Rover Sport And Evoque, Installs Into Hood Right Front Latch Assembly is no longer available.

The switch itself is no longer in stock, so we advise you replace the entire hood latch assembly that includes the new switch already installed.
