Handling Improvement Kit Installation for Range Rover 4.0/4.6 1995-2002

Using the nuts and washers supplied mount the offset brackets on the "U" Bolts. The offset must be to the right (See Illustration #1). Do not fully tighten at this stage.
Fit remaining 2 "U" Bolts over rear axle housing. Position as shown. (See Illustrations # 2 & 3) * 1995-1997 Range Rover 4.0 & 4.6 require you to slightly bend the brake lines up to allow the "U" Bolts to go over the axle housing.
You will need to squeeze the left side "U" Bolt together to fit into the mounting bracket
Fit the large bushings onto the sway bar then place the mounting brackets over the bushings. (See Illustration #3)
Fit the flat brackets with the raised section towards the wheel, onto the sway bar and bushing assembly. The same procedures for the right flat bracket except it does not have a raised section.
Raise the sway bar assembly up and onto the Axle "U" Bolts, and secure using the nuts supplied.
Swing the ends of the sway bar up and back, attach to the lower end of the "H" Hanger brackets using the nuts and bolt supplied.
Alight the "U" Bolts over the chassis rails with the seam in the chassis rail approximately 1 1/2" behind the rear crossmember and tighten the "U" Bolt on the chassis rail at this time. (See Illustration #2)
Lower the vehicle to the ground so the full weight of the vehicle is on the suspension.
Pry the sway bar slightly to the right of the vehicle and maintain pressure while tightening all nuts on axle "U" Bolts. This assembly should be tilted back slightly towards the rear. (See Illustration #2)

Fully tighten all remaining bolts.
Front sway bar bushings: The dimensions of the stock front sway bar on the Range Rover are more than adequate for normal highway or off road driving. However, to give your vehicle that little extra in precise handling and feel, we have included heavy duty nylon front sway bar bushings in this kit.
Using an 18mm wrench or socket, remove the 4 bolts (2 each side) from the "U" brackets securing the front sway bar to the chassis rails.
Remove the stock rubber bushings from the sway bar.
