A new, ultra-limited Range Rover edition debuted at the ultra-exclusive Monterey Car Week, in front of a VIP audience at the invitation-only Range Rover House in Carmel.
The 2023 Range Rover SV Carmel Edition is exclusive to the North American market, with just 17 examples for sale at $345,000 each. They’re built on the long wheelbase Range Rover, The design specification was crafted by the SV team, with a Satin Bronze exterior and two-color interior with Liberty Blue front and Caraway rear seats. Like all SV models, they have ceramic controls and finishes in the cockpit.
In addition to the vehicle, Carmel Edition buyers will get two sets of Titleist golf clubs custom-fit at Titleist’s Performance Institute, and Land Rover will donate a portion of the proceeds from each vehicle to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
The vehicle was launched at the Range Rover House, a modernist home overlooking Monterey Bay that they rented for the duration of Monterey Car Week. The venue was open exclusively to owners during the event and provided a retreat space during the hustle and bustle of what has become half a car show and half a high society event. Each night there was a Signature Evening, with celebrity chefs and themed dinners. There was exclusive coffee service, “scent curation,” wellness providers, and marine biologists to explain the wonders of Monterey Bay.
The fifth-generation Range Rover was designed to move the iconic brand even further upmarket. Land Rover is already looking to replicate the Range Rover House concept in other parts of the world at other exclusive events, a harbinger of the direction of the Range Rover product family.
