The Range Rover Sport SV enters its second year of production with a new special edition: Edition Two, a set of four specially-curated combinations of color palette, wheels, and interior finishes. The most powerful Range Rover Sport also continues the option of Body and Soul Seats (BASS), with haptic music feedback built into the front seats.
The Sport SV launched last year with Edition One, a launch edition that sold briskly. This year brings a focus on new colorways, and the Edition Two name.
The Blue Nebula colorway is perhaps he flagship design, featuring a matte deep blue paint job. The seats of this curation are in Light Cloud and Ebony Windsor leather, and exterior details are satin black with 23-inch black alloy wheels over Blue Nebula brake calipers. The inspiration for this design is the Northern Atlantic, in all its moodiness and depth.
The second design features a Marl Grey gloss paint job, glossy carbon twill exterior trim, and 23-inch carbon gloss finish wheels with Rosewood and Ebony Windsor leather interior. Another is painted Sunrise Copper Satin with satin carbon twill accents, black wheels over red calipers, and Ebony Windsor leather. Finally, there's one in Ligurian Black gloss, with satin carbon twill trim, yellow calipers under carbon gloss wheels, and a Cinder and Ebony interior with knit and Ultrafabrics textiles.
These curated looks are all good, but if you're spending this much money, you might want something else- and you can make major adjustments to the designs. A 22-inch diamond‑turned alloy wheel with satin dark grey accents is available instead of the big 23s, and you can pick from one of six brake caliper colors and a body-color roof instead of the standard black option. You can replace your exterior trim pieces with a Satin Forged Carbon Fiber Pack or Twill Carbon Fiber Pack.
Inside, you can always opt for classic Windsor leather, or if you prefer more eco-friendly textiles, a Knit and Ultrafabrics seating surface. The vehicles also come with Body and Soul Seats, which integrate haptic music response and relaxation programs. These seats have also been seen in Defender OCTA, which brings several features over from the Sport SV, including the powertrain and suspension.
There's also a new tire for these vehicles, custom-designed with Michelin to extend the car's cornering abilities. The Pilot Sport S 5 tires give the SV an 0.1G increase in steady‑state lateral acceleration ability. It's a summer-only tire, however -- if you're looking for a winter and all-terrain tire, the standard equipment is the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tire.
The Edition Two continues with the BMW-derived 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and 6D Dynamics suspension that debuted on the Edition One vehicle. With 626 horsepower and 553 lb‑ft of torque, this Rangie does not wait around -- it clears 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 180 mph. The 6D Dynamics suspension is hydraulically linked to maintain a nearly-level stance under braking, acceleration, and turning.
