Troubleshooting Warning Light Errors: The "Three Amigos" on Land Rover Discovery Series II

Applies To:

Discovery Series II | 1999-2002

A common problem seen in Discovery Series II vehicles is series of three warning lights displaying in your dash.

When this error occurs, you will see the following three lights illuminated on your Disco's dashboard simultaneously:

  • Hill Decent
  • ABS
  • Traction Control

Most often, the culprits are a faulty shuttle valve or a failed ABS sensor.

Note, occasionally, this error can be caused by faulty or shorted wiring. Please review this Wiring Testing Process Tech Tip to test your wiring as a last step if the shuttle valve and ABS sensor are working properly.
