Following on the heels of the extremely successful first event in 2015 in Sedona, Arizona, the second Western National Land Rover Rally will take place in the Sierra Nevadas in California from September 13-16, 2018. As part of the event, there will be a raffle for a 2004 Discovery, restored as a collaboration of Land Rover parts suppliers and repair shops -- including Atlantic British.
At the 2015 rally, a Discovery 1 was raffled in the same manner. The Discovery 2 for this year's event was donated by Land Rover Las Vegas. The engine is getting a rebuild, performed by I.E. Rovers in Lake Elsinore, California, using parts donated by Atlantic British. Other parts and accessories will come from Land Rover suppliers across the country, with work performed by local shops.
Every registrant will be entered in the raffle, which will take place on Saturday evening of the event. The WNLRR is on track to be another incredible event, in the beautiful (and in September, quite temperate!) Sierra Nevadas of California. Registration is still open, though there is a cap of 200 attendees. The 6-day event will include trail runs, a Team Challenge Day with light physical challenges and critical thinking challenges, and camp activities. Beyond camping, lodging is available at the Bear Valley Ski Resort.
If you want to join in on the fun, registration is still open -- check out wnlrr.org.
