One of the oldest Land Rover events in the country, the Solihull Society's National Rally, was held for the 30th time from September 17-21, 2018 in Moab, Utah.
The National Rally has been held annually since 1989. Typically the event rotates every year between Moab, Utah and various locations in Colorado. The event has been held mid-week the past few years to make it easier for people to come from afar to attend without draining all of their vacation time. This year there was even a sizable group from the Rover Owners Association of Virginia (ROAV) who came out.
This was a Moab year, which meant that attendees got to enjoy some of America's most iconic off-road trails while celebrating the 30th rally and 70th anniversary of Land Rover.
The host venue was the Spanish Trail Arena in Moab, which provided camping and events. The playground was Moab, a land of boundless off-road opportunity. Groups ran iconic trails like Hell's Revenge, Seven Mile Rim, Picture Frame Arch, and Chicken Corners/Hurrah Pass.
Next year's National Rally will be held in Ouray, Colorado, home to trails like Imogene Pass, Black Bear Pass, and Corkscrew Gulch. Pencil in July 23-27, 2019 if you want a fun week of exploring Colorado with fellow Land Rover owners.
