The musical lineup for the 4xFAR Festival, the weekend-long event Land Rover will be hosting in California's Coachella Valley January 18-19, 2020 to launch the new Defender, has been announced. It's a lineup of hot modern artists, including a few Grammy winners.
The artists announced so far are:
- Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals
- Young The Giant
- Mark Ronson & Q-Tip (and friends)
- Kurt Vile
- Sofi Tukker
- Chappaqua Wrestling
- LP Giobbi
- Maya Jane Coles
- Tijuana Panthers
- Mahalia
It's a collection of many of today's hot artists, spanning EDM, house, R&B, rap, hip hop, and rock. There's several Grammy winners in the lineup, and many others who are popular.
There will also be a supply of adventure talent there, giving talks. Laird Hamilton, big-wave surfer and co-inventor of tow-in surfing will be there; so will volleyball star Gabby Reece. There's going to be a climbing challenge, mountain bike course, fly fishing lessons, gear presentations from leading brands, and trail cooking lessons.
For the Land Rover enthusiast, there will be something too. There's a 15-acre off-road course, where you can drive both the new Defender and other Land Rover models. It'll be the first place to get your hands on the wheel of a Defender, and that may be worth the cost of admission to some. There's also rumors of Camel Trophy stars doing a signing session. The finals of TReK may also be happening around this time in the area.
The 4xFAR Festival is certainly a unique way to launch a vehicle. If you're interested in going, tickets can be purchased at 4xfar.com.
