The third generation Range Rover (L322) has aged like a fine Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The design was launched twenty years ago, in 2001, a major break from the more staid and traditional design themes of the Classic and P38. A sleek architectural exterior combined with a yacht-inspired cabin created something as at home in Monaco as in the mud.

There’s not many places on the East Coast where you can disappear into the bush on dirt roads for hours on end, like you can in the West. One of the few exceptions is the North Maine Woods, a collection of private land in northern Maine that produces timber used in the paper industry. With a daily entrance fee, you can access hundreds of miles of logging dirt roads leading all the way to the Canadian border.

A lot of people dream of driving across the country, from sea to shining sea, visiting the extreme points of the United States. But if you take Canada into consideration, your eastern terminus of the continent moves a lot further east. It was the temptation to go as far as he could without taking a ferry that took Jacob Silberfarb and his 2013 LR4 from Orange County, California to Meat Cove, Nova Scotia over the new year, returning via the Trans-Canada Highway.

Most people go on normal vacations for New Year's. Maybe skiing, or to a beach. Not many people decide to spend their holiday driving into sub-freezing temperatures in Northern Quebec, in search of the end of one of the northernmost roads in North America.

I took the opportunity this past weekend to join a few friends from the Atlanta area on a cross-country trek by LR3 to ride some of the trails in Canyonlands National Park's Needles District.

These days, the scarcity of Range Rover Classics means you're not likely to find the perfect truck close to home. So when Oregonian Brock Keen found the perfect Range Rover in San Diego, he hopped a flight to Southern California for an all-American delivery voyage.

In the early 2000s, Max Thomason saw a photo on the Internet of a Series IIa 88" Land Rover descending Colorado's Black Bear Pass.
