Installation - Radiator
Vehicle - Range Rover Classic

If your 1987 or 1988 Range Rover needs a new radiator (# ESR80), you are going to have to trim your radiator shroud because the original equipment radiator has been superseded. The outside of the radiator is enlarged to allow for better cooling. First, of course you need to siphon the radiator by removing the plug from he top passenger side and by running a piece of 1/4" tubing down the inside of the radiator.

Trim 1" of the shroud mount on the bottom of both the passenger and driver side. Then, a slot 1" wide by 2" high needs to be made on the top. It will also be necessary to drill two new holes in the top of the shroud to accommodate the mounting holes on the radiator. Of course, when you order a new replacement radiator, all these instructions will make sense when you see the radiator. Be sure to check your belts and hoses while you are in there.
