Item: LR041431OEM (Same Fit As Part # LR041431 )
Is the car alarm of your LR3, LR2 or Range Rover Sport mysteriously going off in the middle of the night?
Watch Jim and Doug, our Land Rover Master Technicians, as they replace the likely culprit, the faulty Hood Alarm Switch in the Hood Latch Assembly of your vehicle. Using part # LR041431OEM, Doug takes you through the process of installing the new switch into the existing latching assembly. Optionally, if you find it necessary that the entire latching assembly be replaced--due to corrosion of the moving pieces in the assembly--see part # LR065340G, which is Land Rover's new design that includes the entire latching fixture with the alarm switch. Solved problem with alarm going off at random. Easy to find correct part, easy to install with video help on Atlantic British site! Fast delivery, reasonable price. Preferred this to new style that incorporated the entire hood latch as that looked harder to replace!

Don’t bother with removing grill. Just use a long flat screwdriver, unplug wire after it’s out and slap in the new one. Took me less than 1 minute. “Bonnet open” warning... gone.

it was very easy to install, I did not have to remove the grille. So far, after about 4 weeks, it has solved the bonnet open alarm.

OEM fit. 15min install. No mods. Feel this part should be a little more substantial in reference to fabrication materials relative to price.

This product is great! I watched the video that Atlantic British had on how to install it and it was very easy. No more false alarms or messages that the "Bonnet was open". I would recommend this product to anyone have the same problem with alarm going off for no reason.

The aluminium foil trick worked and stopped the alarm from going off in the middle of the night but I decided I needed to do it right and ordered a new switch from Atlantic. It arrived very quickly, in a couple of days and was easy to fit, follow the instructions on their web site video, exactly the same as the old part and so far it seems to be working well (the foil is now removed and the alarm hasn't gone off all week !). However, the Landrover blogs from 2010 talk about it being a $12 part but now it costs $32 (including shipping cost). I guess that's what they call inflation !?!
