The 48" crossbars mount with four Yakima Control Towers with Landing Pads for a quick ‘n’ easy-to-install rack. Control Towers snap solidly into Landing Pads which fit securely into your LR3 roof channels. Once the low-profile landing pads are mounted to your LR3 roof channels, the crossbars can be mounted or removed literally in seconds!

Yakima's Big PowderHound Button Down Ski Rack is the most versatile ski rack you can buy...holds 6 pair of skis or up to 4 snow boards! While other ski mounts give you one or two locking positions, the Yakima Big PowderHound’s 5-point ratcheting system gives you a full inch of travel. That’s more room than other racks for a better fit on fatter skis, and snowboards. This rack goes on and off without tools, opens and closes with just one hand, and locks securely with (2) SKS Lock Cores and keys provided.
