I have a Disco II and this worked perfectly and was little trouble installing. I ordered 3 because I read that some people would break the first one when trying to install. I didn't have that problem, but as I believe in have extras on hand, I ordered more than I expected to need. Be gentle with it when trying to install and it should hold up. Once installed, it worked perfectly.

I rate this product 4 star cause i would of like to see a video on how to install it. Watching your videos give me the confidence to attempt the work myself. I do remember reading one of the reviews on this product and someone said, buy at least two cause the clip can break. I did get the second one fitted properly after trail and error with the first one. Works great! Thank you guy's

Exactly what was advertised. This replaced original latch on a 2002 Disco.

I could tell that the design of the latch was delicate. So I spent a fair amount of time playing with the original broken latch and looking at the new latch, trying to assess where pressure should and should not be applied. I also ran it under warm water for a minute or so hoping to make it a little more pliable. I tried installing several times very slowly and delicately but a small but important piece snapped off when finally giving it the push it needed to go into place. I have to say though, the item was very reasonably priced and the order processing and delivery was great. I'm waiting for another one to arrive and will hopefully have better luck!

I bought 3 figuring I may break one during first install attempt and then I would have a spare. Well I was right on the money - 1st attempt pin side broke. Even though I was careful it takes a little finesse installing and too much force and they break. The fact that it was 5 degrees out probably didn't help. Install took less than 5 minutes. Exactly as OEM part.

Excellent item! Since they sell the spare part it means that many rovers break it so it's nice to be able to purchase just this part and not the whole door.

This silly plastic part lasted about 5 months for me. LR should have made these in metal not plastic. Buy a bunch and have one in the truck for "on the go" repairs.

Less than a minute to replace it. Just be sure to make sure the tab on the door cover doesn't need 'tweaking' in to correct position.

Too bad it turned out that the little aluminum thing holding this piece was bent slightly, causing it to not catch. Make sure that isn't the problem before ordering!

One of the retaining pins snapped off during installation. It seemed a likely result when I was trying to get it in. Theoretically I could have warmed it up to make it a bit more flexible (it wasn't particularly cold out). It still works, but not quite right. The clip moves up and down more than it should, and is now only held in by one retaining pin. Happened to this guy, too. http://www.landroversonly.com/forums/f40/fuel-door-wont-latch-closed-48711/
