Range Rovers, Discoveries and Defenders feature a center locking differential. Although you are able to evenly distribute power between the front and rear axles, you can still get hung-up by losing traction side-to-side, as the individual axles will only push power to the wheel with the least resistance (which may be off the ground at the time)! The ARB Air Locker is the perfect solution. At the touch of a dash-mounted button, compressed air activates this revolutionary system to transmit full power to both wheels - in any situation, at any speed. Installation involves a bolt-in replacement of the original equipment center differential and a 12-volt air compressor, which can also be employed to pump up tires, air beds, etc. Original equipment axles, are retained, and no special maintenance is required. A relatively simple, one-time installation will give you 100% drive to each wheel, without tricky handling or increased wear problems experienced with traditional locking diffs.
