This one features a supercharged Ford V8 kicking out around 800 horsepower. And before you bang your desk in disgust consider that it is likely that not very many original parts or sheet metal is involved here.
The original Series I was famous for its accessibility; that someone with slightly more than average mechanical skill could reasonably disassemble the whole vehicle in their garage, then put it back together again in relatively short order. This makes it an ideal vehicle to, er, experiment with.
It should be noted that the vast majority of those who do this are interested in tinkering with the vehicle's singular off-road capability, not its on-road performance. Still, to each his own...
