24-year old Samuel Botchvaroff really "botched" this one...
California Highway Patrol (CHIPS) Investigator Chris Linehan reports that he arrested 24-year-old Samuel Botchvaroff as the suspect sat inside a stolen 2000 Range Rover... just outside the Vallejo courthouse. It seems Botchvaroff was just leaving his arraignment on auto theft charges stemming from an earlier arrest on October 31. Linehan said the Range Rover's LoJack system helped him locate the stolen vehicle, which had been reported missing from Oakland earlier that morning. But at least Botchvaroff had an excuse. He said his car had been impounded, so he had no other way to get to his arraignment.
I didn't say it was a good excuse...
