If you’re not busy May 1-3 you may want to book tickets to the annual Heritage Land Rover Show and celebrate the Range Rover’s 40th anniversary on its home turf. It's going to be quite a party.
Thousands of Rover enthusiasts and club members from around the world are expected to enjoy a number of events and activities celebrating the 40th anniversary of Britain’s most iconic 4x4.
If you go you can view rare Range Rover footage from 1970-on, go on your choice of two Heritage Runs - one for Classic Land Rovers and one for Range Rovers - where they are expecting around 150 vehicles to participate, and you can be part of the launch of the new Land Rover Experience at the Heritage Motor Center.
Naturally, there will be all manner of Land Rover Club stands and trade stands selling Land Rover parts and accessories, plus a series of talks on Land Rover related topics. And, when the day is done, Slaughter House brewery will be selling bottles of Range Rover 40th Celebration Ale at the bar!
Emma Rawlinson, events executive at the Heritage Motor Center said: “We’re delighted to be hosting this special weekend to celebrate these fantastic models. The weekend is an absolute must for Land Rover and Range Rover enthusiasts and is expected to attract thousands of visitors from all over the world.”
The show will be open from 10am–5pm, beginning May 1. You can make a weekend of it with a special camping and show entrance offer of £46 for a family. Purchase tickets on-line at http://www.hlrw.co.uk
