Land Rover’s “Pulse of the City” program is putting over 30 celebs behind the wheel of the new Evoque and tracking their every move so you can get the inside scoop on what to see and how to be seen.
If you’re heading to, let’s say, D.C., and you want to go where those in-the-know go, you can find out through a special website: HelloEvoque.com, where trips from actual celebrities or other “influencers” who live or regularly visit there are posted. Not only does the “Pulse of the City” project track their actual stops throughout the city, it features a rotating series of questions such as “What inspires you about your city?” And best of all, YOU can establish yourself as one of these influencers through an iPhone app that lets you track your own travels, make notes and then publish your results on the website. And Facebook. And Twitter. Oh, when will it stop?
Still…it can’t help but foster a tighter sense of community for Evoque drivers; certainly tighter than the incessant waving between VW Bug drivers, anyway. And you might learn something along the way.
