The Northwest Sport Utility competition, known as Mudfest, gives auto journalists the chance to put the latest off-road vehicles to the test. And the winners were, well, not too surprising…
The Pacific Northwest’s auto journalists all gather each year on muddy hills and grassy slopes to compare the latest off-road offerings from various manufacturers. They take a couple of days to put all of the vehicles through their paces, and then they tally up their scores. The group has awarded Best Off-Road SUV to the 2011 LR4, and SUV of the Year to the 2010 Range Rover Super Sport.
Chris Marchand, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Land Rover North America, said, “We are thrilled with the performance of the Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles this year. Being named the 2010 Northwest SUV of the Year is an outstanding accomplishment for the Range Rover Sport and it's great knowing that the automotive journalists are recognizing its capability both on and off-road.”
Like I said…not too surprising.
