Anyone can drive like this. It's New England Winter driving that's a challenge! Once a year, the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) gets together at Winter Vehicle Voting Day and starts driving around in the snow. Then they vote…
To expect a bunch of automotive writers and talk show hosts - from all six New England States, mind you – to agree on anything is asking a bit much. Still, they all agreed that the Winter Vehicle Award in the Best in Class-Premium Sport Utility Vehicle / Crossover segment for 2010 was the Range Rover.
They actually spend the day driving all-wheel drive vehicles around in the snow, then evaluate them on how they fit the needs of drivers during the long New England winters.
"New England's automotive media test new vehicles in a daunting combination of fast driving roads, challenging weather conditions and off-road trails," said Stuart Schorr, Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, Jaguar Land Rover North America. "To win a Best-in-Class award from this group of top automotive journalists confirms the Range Rover's position as the most capable luxury vehicle in the world."
