"Shockingly good fuel economy for any SUV, let alone a Range Rover," says Paul Lienert, an Edmund’s correspondent.
Automobile.com says: "You'll enjoy the on and off-road capabilities of the 2011 Land Rover Range Rover. This vehicle offers it all in one attractive package. From the overall style of the exterior to the luxury of the interior, the Range Rover is a pleasure to all five senses."
With an engine/transmission combination that returns an average fuel economy of 25 mpg, the new 2011 Range Rover is attracting a lot of media buzz.
And, of course, Phil Popham, Land Rover Managing Director, agrees: "The 2011 Range Rover retains its position as one of the world's most complete luxury vehicles. World-class engine performance and driving refinement combined with upscale interior enhancements, offer unparalleled luxury and comfort which continue to make Range Rover a clear industry benchmark."
Enhancements to the 2011 Range Rover include improvements to both the exterior and the powertrain. You can order one, for instance, with a 510-horse power engine, which offers 461-lbs ft of torque and reaches 60 mph in a mere 5.9 seconds, which is frankly amazing given a vehicle of this weight.
Additional advancements include improvements to the Range Rover's Terrain Response® system. The Hill Start Assist and Gradient Acceleration Control provides a more precise control of body motions on severe gradients. The 2011 Range Rover also offers active safety controls such as adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, optional blind spot monitoring, automatic high beam assist and a surround camera system.
