Winston Churchill's Land Rover For Sale

A 1954 Land Rover Series I that was presented to Winston Churchill on his 80th birthday will be sold at auction this October. The Series vehicle has a mere 12,932 miles on the odometer and estimates to sell at over $80,000.

The vehicle was given to Churchill as a gift from Land Rover and it features a few custom modifications that allowed Churchill to be driven by a chauffeur around his estate. For comfort, the Series includes an extra-wide passenger seat and a heated footwell, as well as a leather grab handle and a custom fold-down arm rest. Such luxury!

Winston Churchill remains one of the most enduring figures in British history. Images of the former prime minister often feature him wearing a bowker and smoking on one of his favorite cigars. Churchill is a symbol British heritage and a great source of national pride - it seems fitting that the man chose another great British icon as his mode of transportation.
