We spend a lot of time interacting with those in the Land Rover community, albeit primarily with the off-road/Rover Rally/D-I-Y enthusiast. That’s why we’re curious to hear the reactions to Project Kahn’s new aftermarket wheels for the current Defender
Typically, Project Kahn and the Defender appeal to opposite ends of the Land Rover enthusiast spectrum, but we think the latest offering will please Land Rover Defender owners just as much as it will Kahn’s usual clientele. That is because Kahn’s new wheels are designed for off-road use, well suited for the rigors a Defender may be asked to endure. Still, it wouldn’t be a Project Kahn product without a little flash.
“With simple clean lines, soft organic surfaces on the edge of the spoke and a purposeful mechanical center, the Kahn Defender wheels (pictured), built for off roaders, is essentially a high end product – which is a bit more stylistic than current offerings,” a company statement reads.
Project Kahn demonstrates that it is possible to upgrade the aesthetics of the Defender without compromising its character; something the DC100 designers would have benefited from practicing.
Wheels will be offered in 16-inch and 18-inch variations. Project Kahn has also hinted toward the future release of a Project Kahn Defender. Stay tuned.
