Actually, it makes sense. If the LRX is a two-door only model, isn’t it competing with its own LR2? At the risk of line cannibalization, it makes sense to upgrade the LRX to a four-door and give a leg up to the people interested in this “urban off-roader.” Of course, there are always those who will say that an additional couple of doors will take away from the vehicle’s design edginess, which is paramount to its success in an over-crowded field. But that’s why the marketers make the big bucks. We’ll wait and see what they decide.
