The internet was abuzz this week with a frightening video of an owner of a Range Rover Sport being terrorized by what appears to be a gang of bikers in New York City.
The altercation begins when the driver of the Range Rover Sport bumps the rear end of one of the bike riders who stopped abruptly in front of the Rover, seemingly on purpose. While we are unable to ascertain the true intentions of the motorcyclists, the collision set in motion a disturbing chain of events that resulted in a high-speed chase and concluded with a smashed driver side window.
Following the initial impact, the group of bikers stopped abruptly and began to converge on the owner of the Range Rover Sport. The driver, presumably feeling pressured from the mob of bikers, attempted to drive away from the conflict. His hasty escape resulted in several bikes being run over and the group quickly regathered and sped after the Rover. Racing through the city, the group of bikers eventually caught up to the Range Rover, and attempted to open the driver side door during stopped traffic. One unidentified biker used their helmet to smash in the driver side window of the Rover, and that’s where the video cuts off. An updated report indicates that the driver was assaulted in front of his wife and children and suffered two black eyes along with lacerations to his face and body.
UPDATE: The biker in question as been arrested.
