Automobile Magazine has been conducting a long-term “Reliability Run” test on the popular new Range Rover Evoque, and after eight months behind the wheel, have almost no problems to report on Land Rover’s newest model.
The only grievance reported from Evoque test drivers was a “Service Required”and “Low Coolant” light that appeared on the dashboard; a minor issue caused by a faulty sensor that owners of any automobile can relate. Automobile Magazine offers the disclaimer that their long-term test is only 75% complete, noting that winter testing (presumably the most demanding) remains; still, early results are encouraging.
If the first portion of the study is indicative of what can be expected of the Evoque’s reliability in the future, it may help begin to shake the perception of Land Rover as a capable but unreliable vehicle.
