There is still plenty of excitement surrounding Land Rover’s hugely successful Range Rover Evoque, but you wouldn’t be able to detect the vehicle’s popularity on an average morning commute. Evoque sightings are pretty rare, but this may all be about to change. (Below is a picture of only the second Evoque we’ve spotted in Upstate NY since their debut).
Outside of a few major metropolitan areas, the Range Rover Evoque remains rare, due in large part to Land Rover’s inability to produce the vehicles quickly enough to meet their massive demand. Automotive News Europe reports that Jaguar Land Rover is currently shipping 750 Evoques to the U.S. each month – a number that has proven inadequate thus far. Fortunately, JLR plans to step up production at the Land Rover plant in Halewood, England which should increase the number of Evoques shipped to the U.S. by 25% (1,000 total vehicles). JLR forecasts that nearly 1/3 of all U.S. Land Rover sales will come from the Range Rover Evoque.
So keep an eye out – more Evoques are on the way!
