As part of the All-New Range Rover Global Media Drive, Land Rover has been traveling through the North African country filming video and taking photographs of the 2013 Range Rover in all of its glory. Joining the efforts will be twelve Luey the Lions which were created by Land Rover’s award-winning design team.
The life-sized lions are crafted from fiberglass and inspired by “HUE 166” the original Land Rover Series 1 Land Rover. Each lion resembles the Land Rover Series in both color and texture, making it a unique tribute to the iconic vehicle. The lions were created in partnership with Born Free, Land Rover’s Global Conversation Partner and will be used to raise money for the organization.
Virginia McKenna, Founder of the Born Free Foundation is pleased with the efforts, noting: "Today Born Free's association with Land Rover is stronger than ever, through our charity work for conservation and wild animal welfare around the world. I am so delighted that Luey the Lion is flying the flag for both Land Rover and Born Free on this exciting adventure."
