Land Rover North America recently announced plans to extend their sponsorship of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and the 2011 U.S. Eventing Team.
The United States Equestrian Federation is the national governing body for the majority of equestrian sports in the United States and hosts several competitions each year. Land Rover has previously partnered with the organization, sharing in many of USEF's ideals. “Land Rover vehicles are defined by their sophistication, power, control and capability - all traits embodied in the sport of eventing,” noted Kim McCullough, Brand Vice President, Land Rover North America.
This year, Land Rover will be returning as the official vehicle of the 2011-2012 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, which begins April 28th. The prestigious and highly- lauded event is significant to the Eventing schedule as it is seen by many to be a proving ground for aspiring Olympic athletes.
Guests of the event will be able to test drive a number of select Land Rover models which will be on display. The physical presence of the Rovers is sure to portray an athletic and elegant branding for the event. “The Land Rover brand is renowned for combining elegance and power, two traits essential to the U.S. Eventing Team,” noted USEF President David O’Connor.
With such amicable relations it is no wonder the two organizations were happy to stay together.
